First, free unconsciously projects "cheesy." In other words, that success you want to project falls flat when you choose free hosting for anything online. Your primary focus needs to be placed on projecting that "I'm a solid business and here to stay!" attitude. It's the top level domain that gets the linking. o Using Blogger the same rules applies. More links for them, while your subdomain name gets lost in the crowd. Again, things look great, but the growth goes to the primary company - the top level domain. But there's an even worse possibility...!! The True Perils of Free Blog HostingAre you aware of how many people, people who have poured their heart and soul into "free hosted blogs" like those systems named above (to name just a few), have logged in and found they no longer have a blog? It's true. When you sit within the wrong kind of blog network, you can lose all your efforts in the blink of an eye - often through no fault of your own. You literally are at the whim and mercy of strangers. Worse than that, you have no recourse. Once you lose your blog, it's gone forever! Zip, zilch, nada... gone. Without traffic, you're just another page on the web. Traffic serves two purposes, to: o Give you potential clients and buyers, and o Get you listed quickly in the search engines where your really hot market is. Blogging means turning "seo" on its head and using the beauty of blogs to get both of the above. It's fast, convenient, and easy to blog. However, it's an art form to get real traffic and search engine placement.
