Actually I am currently (as in right at this moment) doing some research on mysql databases when I ran across this great post ideal for anyone looking for quality backlinks to their web site or blog: 14 High Pagerank Directories for Free Quality Backlinks

In fact, hats off to JT Pratt for also providing a wealth of information (and a good possible solution to my mysql question).

So start your New Year out right by making the directories around the net part of your link building process.

@ JTPratt – thank YOU for the information, you also had a few other things to say that set me in the right direction to find what I was looking for… trouble is today I can’t remember how LOL, but it was definitely worth finding your blog

@ Brad – Getting listed in solid ranked directories is always a good idea. The thing is there are so many possibilities, along with so many marketing and advertising and promoting potentials, it’s hard to keep “what should I be doing” in order. Suggestion to all, make getting organized a top priority for 2010!

Thanks for the info – I’ve yet to find a director that drives any significant amount of traffic. I might give a few of these a try.

@ Corrin the beauty of directories is the link value. Sure it would also be great if/when they send traffic your way, but there are just some directories that the search engines look favorably on, and those are the ones you want to be listed in!
