This will be short. It’s early, much earlier than I normally get going. I’ve been doing night duty over at WorldNewsVine, along with everything else. However, today is one of those “get up, get moving” days regardless. Yesterday, my son turned 19! Holy cow, how did that happen?
Today it’s off to the other side of the valley for a bit, then back here to work.
Tomorrow, of course, is Mother’s Day. I want to wish every woman out there Happy Mother’s Day because in one way, shape, or form we all have one, or some of us are one – hopefully both!
My mother is no longer with us. And, for myself I wish she was still here. In memory of my mom, if you’re in a generous mood and can afford even $1, I ask that you please make a donation to ALS of Nevada. This small group of women (two or three) cover the entire State of Nevada providing resources and help for the victims and caregivers of Lou Gehrig’s disease. Unfortunately, they are also “in crisis” due to the state of the economy.
No longer a part of the national organization (for reason such as the fund raising money when available used to go to “headquarters” with but a small portion being returned to Nevada – so the money raised here, stays here), they have relied on the kindness of businesses and individuals to keep them strong. If you go to ALS of Nevada, on their front page, you can read a letter from Lauran, the president of the Board. It will break your heart.
So if you’ve got one spare dollar to donate to ALS of Nevada, which you can through Paypal directly to them, please honor my mother and all the mother’s out there and contribute.
I thank you very much!
